I was supposed to go check out De La Soul for free down at Detroit's City Fest tonight, but stepped out of the shower and turned on the TV to see Severe Thunderstorm Warnings. Sure enough, when 8:30 rolled around the lightning was coming down from the heavens. It sucks, I love De La Soul. They are legends in my mind and have been one of my favorite rap groups for a long time.
City Fest has been bringing in huge names the past few years, and all for free. Last year it was Lupe, the year before that Common. George Clinton closes it out with P-Funk Sunday, and it's free so even if it's not your typical thing you might as well check it out, and I bet you'll like it. Anyways here's a De La track.
